How long will it take to edit our photos?
You will receive a sneak peak within 48 hours of your wedding so you can announce you nuptials to the world! The full gallery will be delivered within 4- 6 weeks.
Do we need a second shooter?
A second shooter is definitely not essential, and more often than not I photograph solo. But it can be an excellent addition if you have a busy pre-wedding and/or ceremony. Second shooters allow photos to be taken in two places at once, and can provide a different perspective during the ceremony. I am happy to provide guidance based on your individual circumstances.
How many hours coverage will we need?
This depends on what areas of your wedding you would like photos of. I suggest writing a list of what is important to you and your partner.
Here’s a rough time guide for a typical western wedding. (Please note this will vary depending on cultural and religious practices.)
• Preparation - 30mins -1 hour per group
• Ceremony - 1 hour
• Post ceremony photos and family photos - 1 - 1.5 hours
• Wedding party photos - 30 - 45mins
• Couple photos - 1 hour
• Reception - 2- 4 hours Coverage is often determined by the run sheet and when you choose to have speeches, meals, first dances etc.
• Dance floor - 30mins.
How many photos will we receive?
A couple who books a full day of photography will generally receive between 500-800 final photos.
I’m super awkward in front of the camera, is that an issue?
Not at all! My style of photography focuses on capturing candid, naturally occurring moments. During the couple shoot I will rarely ask you to just ‘pose’. Instead, I have a collection of thought-provoking and entertaining prompts to ensure you and your partner feel as relaxed as possible.
When is the best time to schedule our couple photoshoot?
Two words - golden hour! Approximately 1 hour before sunset and half an hour after sunset is the best time to schedule your couple photoshoot. That is when the sunlight is soft and warm and everything is just that little bit more romantic! Having said that though, being a wedding photographer means being flexible and creative. If sunset doesn’t work for your timeline I will work with you to create stunning couple photos regardless of the time of day.
Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?
Absolutely! Here at Studio Downe we believe love comes in all different shapes and sizes. Love is Love!
Do you photograph weddings from different faiths?
I sure do! To date, I have photographed a variety of different weddings including Hindu (pre-wedding), Muslim, Orthodox, Christian, and non-denominational.
Will you Photoshop our photos?
My style of photography is based on capturing the candid and real moments. All final photos are edited with minimal colour grading and basic adjustments. I do not provide photoshopping as I believe that contradicts the ethos of my candid style.
How do you deliver the final photos?
You will receive an email link to a digital password-protected gallery with your photos - the perfect way to share your photos online with friends and family! If listed in your package, you may also receive a custom USB Gift box with a copy of all the photos.
Do you offer albums/prints?
Albums and prints can be added as an additional product to any package (prices listed in the price guide). I am also happy to offer guidance if you would like to print your photos yourself. All photos are delivered in the highest possible resolution, and can printed as large as 20 inches (long side) without additional photoshopping.
What is your payment schedule?
A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to lock in your date. The remaining amount is divided into 4 instalments with the final instalment required 1 month before your wedding date. All payments are made via direct deposit.
Are there any additional costs I should be aware of?
Occasionally there might be additional costs involved when you book my services. These can include travel and accommodation fees, albums and prints, or the cost of a second shooter. Please refer to the price guide page for more detailed information.
